Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer to conduct patrols in a Food Market in New York, NY. You will deter security incidents with a visible presence, assist with access control, and support loss prevention while delivering excellent customer service to shoppers and staff.

The role requires working daytime/evenings with multiple shifts; a high school diploma is required and licensing is preferred. Background checks and drug screening apply where permitted by law.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to shoppers, store team members, vendors, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and site policies.
• Respond to incidents and concerns in a calm, professional manner, escalating as needed per site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail location, including sales areas and entrances.
• Observe and report unusual activity, hazards, and policy violations to site contacts or leadership.
• Assist with access control, visitor and vendor interactions, and document incidents daily.

Job Description

As a Security Officer conducting Patrols in a Food Market locatedin New York, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a retail location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, support access control, and assist with loss prevention activities. You will provide exceptional customer service and clear communication while responding to security-related concerns. Pay Rate: $19.48 / Hour

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to shoppers, store team members, vendors, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, customer concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, escalating matters according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail location, including sales areas, entrances, receiving areas, parking areas, and the surrounding perimeter.
• Observe and report unusual activity, hazards, and policy violations to appropriate site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership.
• Assist with access control, visitor and vendor interactions, and documentation of incidents and daily activity in accordance with site requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Loss prevention experience is preferred.
• Access control or badge experience is preferred.
• A state, county, or city-issued security license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
