Job summary

Allied Universal, Washington, DC-based Security Officer Flex Shift Coverage, seeks adaptable professionals to support multi-site assignments across healthcare, education, finance, retail, and more. The role offers 30–40 hours per week with varying shifts via our Earn More, Claim-A-Shift program; you will patrol designated areas, respond to alarms, and assist customers and staff.

Pay rate is $23.92 per hour; requires two+ years of security experience, HS diploma, and ability to travel; background

Qualifications

Two or more years of security-related experience.
Must be available for varying shifts, including holidays, nights and weekends.
Reliable transportation required.
18+ for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
Background check and drug screen required.

Responsibilities

Perform security patrols of designated areas on foot or in vehicle.
Monitor for irregular conditions creating security concerns or hazards.
Sound alarms or call police or fire department in emergencies.
Warn violators of rule infractions and monitor entrances/exits.
Observe departing personnel to prevent theft and ensure proper removal of property.
Investigate incidents and maintain written post logs.
Assist customers, employees, and visitors professionally.
Make emergency notifications per site post orders.
