Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Flex Patrol Coverage Specialist in Washington, DC. The role offers 30–40 hours per week with a self-scheduling program and irregular shifts to support client needs.

You will patrol, monitor sites, and respond to incidents while building a long-term career with a leading security company. Ideal candidates have 1+ year of security experience, are able to work varied shifts including nights and weekends, and possess a high school diploma.

Qualifications

• One year of security-related experience or more.
• Able to work varying shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Reliable transportation and ability to travel as needed.
• Ages: 18+ (unarmed) / 21+ (armed).
• Background check and drug screening required by law.

Responsibilities

• Perform security patrols of designated areas on foot or in vehicle.
• Watch for irregular or unusual conditions that may create security concerns or safety hazards.
• Sound alarms or call police or fire department in case of emergencies.
• Warn violators of rule infractions and monitor entrances/exits.
• Observe personnel to prevent theft and ensure proper property removal.
• Investigate incidents and prepare reports; maintain logs.
• Assist customers, employees, and visitors in a courteous manner.
• Make emergency notifications as necessary per site orders.
