Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer – Part Time Enhanced in Staten Island, NY. This role offers flexible, reliable hours with anchor shifts and a Pay Rate of $17.45 per hour.

You can earn more by picking up additional shifts through the Earn More, Claim-A-Shift program. Responsibilities include patrolling, assisting tenants and visitors, responding to incidents, and preparing daily activity logs.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• State, county, or city-issued security-related license is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification are preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check required by law.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements vary by state/local laws.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and property representatives by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of commercial property buildings, parking areas, common areas, and perimeter locations to help identify and report unusual activity, maintenance concerns, and potential security-related issues.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established site procedures and notifying appropriate personnel.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, assist with directions and property information, and maintain professional interactions with tenants and guests.
• Prepare accurate reports and daily activity logs documenting patrols, incidents, observations, and security-related concerns.

As a Security Officer Flex Residential Building Patrol in Staten Island, NY, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $17.45 / Hour

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (\u0022Anchor Shifts\u0022): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.


• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.


• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.


• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.


• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.


• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.


• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
