Allied Universal is hiring a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Dispatch Command in Washington, DC. This role provides fixed hours with optional extra shifts through our scheduling platform, enabling higher earnings while maintaining a part-time base schedule.

The position emphasizes customer service, site-specific policy enforcement, and safe incident response. The role requires 2+ years of law enforcement or security experience, a HS diploma or GED, and a valid guard license when applicable.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of law enforcement, military police, or corrections experience.
• At least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Guard card or license preferred.
• Access control and badge experience preferred.
• Be at least 18 for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities at an educational location.
• Receive, prioritize, and dispatch calls for service, alarms, and routine requests to appropriate personnel using established communication protocols.
• Monitor communication systems and maintain accurate dispatch logs, incident records, and activity reports.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating notifications and support as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and perimeter, as assigned, while reporting observed hazards, suspicious activity, and maintenance concerns.

As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Dispatch Command in Washington, DC, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $22.15 / Hour

Job Schedule:

Tue 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment ("Anchor Shifts"): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess at least 2 years of law enforcement, military police, or corrections experience.
• Possess at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
