Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Unarmed at our Ashburn, VA site. This role provides reliable hours with the option to pick up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, helping you build experience toward a full‑time security career.

You will perform access control, patrol interiors and perimeters, respond to incidents calmly, and support site management. Requirements include a high school diploma, background check, drug screen, and being at least 18 years

As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Unarmed Patrol Badge Verification in Ashburn, VA, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $23.36 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Wed 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment ("Anchor Shifts"): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It's all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, contractors, and/or clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a commercial real estate location.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem‑solving manner, escalating issues according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the property, including building interiors, common areas, parking areas, and perimeter locations, helping to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as required, and maintain accurate records of incidents, observations, and/or required reports.
• Assist with security-related communications and coordinate with site management, emergency responders, and Allied Universal leadership as appropriate.

Minimum Requirements:

• CPR certification is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
