Job summary

Allied Universal is hiring a Security Officer – Part Time Enhanced in Irvine, CA to provide customer service and security at a retail site. The role offers fixed shifts with an option to pick up additional shifts via a scheduling platform, increasing earnings.

You will conduct patrols, respond to incidents, and assist with access control while adhering to site policies and safety procedures. A high school diploma is required and driving positions may require a license.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and clients by carrying out site-specific policies, procedures, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed foot and/or vehicle patrols throughout retail common areas, parking facilities, building exteriors, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Respond to incidents, customer concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel and/or emergency responders as needed.
• Observe and report suspicious activity, property concerns, hazards, and policy violations, completing accurate incident and daily activity documentation.
• Assist with access control, directions, and general security-related support for retail and neighborhood operations.

As a Security Officer Flex Part Time Retail Foot Patrol Customer Service in Irvine, CA, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $21.50 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Fri: 09:00 AM - 01:00 PM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It’s all up to you.

Minimum Requirements:

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Possession of a guard card or license is preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
