Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Flex Part-Time Security Officer in Lake Mary, FL, to protect clients across Tech/Media/Telecom sectors. You will monitor, patrol, and engage with employees and visitors while upholding site policies and safety procedures.

The role offers a flexible schedule, opportunities for training, and access to our shift-claim platform to build your planned hours. Minimum requirements include basic tech familiarity and customer service experience.

Qualifications

• Comfortable using a computer or tablet.
• Access control or badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner within the tech, media, and telecom location.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the business premises and perimeter to deter unauthorized activity.
• Observe and report any security-related incidents or hazards encountered during patrols.
• Interact professionally with employees, visitors, and guests to provide assistance and information as needed.
• Follow all post orders and instructions provided by Allied Universal and site management.
• Support other security-related duties as assigned based on the unique needs of the location.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
