Job summary

Allied Universal, a leading security and facility services company, seeks a Security Guard – Flex Unarmed Media Patrol in Los Angeles, CA. You will monitor spaces, conduct unarmed patrols, support access control, and deliver strong customer service within a dynamic tech/media location.

The role is Flex Part-Time with a pay rate of $23.25 per hour. You will join an agile team focused on safety and a positive daily experience for clients and staff.

Qualifications

• Have at least 1 year of security experience.
• Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• A guard card/license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients and visitors by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating to site contacts and/or public services as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of offices, common areas, parking areas, and the perimeter, noting unusual activity and helping to deter unauthorized access.
• Monitor access points and visitor entry processes, verifying credentials and directing guests and deliveries according to site procedures.
• Complete detailed shift documentation, including incident reports and patrol logs, and communicate relevant updates during shift handoff to support continuity of operations.
