Allied Universal® is seeking a Security Officer – Weekend in Glendale, AZ. This part-time role provides reliable hours at an assigned site with the option to earn more by picking up extra shifts through our scheduling platform.

Pay rate is $18.50 per hour. The position offers a flexible schedule with anchor shifts and the Earn More, Claim-A-Shift program, designed to help you grow toward a fuller schedule up to 40 hours per week.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license required.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to a background investigation as required by law.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may apply per state/local laws.
• A valid driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and the public at a government location.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of public areas, buildings, parking areas, and perimeter locations.
• Monitor access points and observe activity, reporting issues to appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents and alarms calmly and follow emergency procedures.
• Prepare clear activity, incident, and patrol reports per site requirements.

As a Security Officer - Weekend in Glendale, AZ, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $18.50 / Hour

Job Schedule:

DayTimeSun02:30 AM - 02:30 PM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and members of the public at a government location by carrying out site-specific procedures and security‑related protocols.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of public areas, buildings, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity and identify potential security‑related concerns.
• Monitor access points and observe activity throughout assigned areas, reporting unusual conditions, maintenance concerns, and policy violations to appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, following emergency response procedures and contacting emergency services when appropriate.
• Prepare clear and accurate activity, incident, and patrol reports in accordance with site requirements and Allied Universal procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
