Allied Universal in Boston, MA is seeking an Armed Security Officer for part-time patrol duties at a financial institution. The role focuses on deterrence, customer service, and maintaining a secure environment while responding to incidents.

You will perform regular patrols, monitor access, and project a professional presence. A valid concealed carry permit, one year of security experience, and being 21+ are required.

Qualifications

• Possess a valid concealed carry weapons permit.
• Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Have at least 1 year of armed security-related, law enforcement, and/or military experience.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• A drug screen will be required as a condition of employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and employees at a financial institution by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of the facility, entry points, parking areas, ATM locations, and perimeter to help identify unusual activity and deter unauthorized access.
• Monitor access to restricted areas and verify authorized entry in accordance with site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and escalation protocols.
• Maintain a visible professional presence while documenting patrols, observations, incidents, and other security-related activities accurately.

Pay Rate: $25.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Wed: 08:45 AM - 05:15 PM
• Sat: 08:00 AM - 04:00 PM

What You’ll Do:

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess a valid concealed carry weapons permit.
• Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Have at least 1 year of armed security-related, law enforcement, and/or military experience.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
