Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer - FLEX in Milan, IL for a part-time schedule with fixed anchor shifts and the option to pick-up additional shifts to increase earnings. The role includes front desk coverage, access control, and routine security procedures.

Pay rate starts at $19.25 per hour. Minimum age requirements and background/drug screenings apply; licensing may be required by state law. This position offers flexibility and potential transition toward full-time hours.

Qualifications

• Be at least 19 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and vendors at a manufacturing and industrial location by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Staff the front desk and maintain a professional, welcoming presence while monitoring access to the facility and directing visitors to appropriate contacts or departments.
• Verify visitor, contractor, and delivery credentials; issue and collect access badges and maintain accurate visitor and access-related records.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating matters according to site procedures.
• Monitor front-desk communications, cameras, and access-control systems as assigned, and report unusual activity or facility concerns to appropriate personnel.

As a Security Officer - FLEX in Milan, IL, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $19.25 / Hour

Job Schedule:

DayTimeMon07:00 AM - 03:00 PMTue07:00 AM - 03:00 PM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.
