Allied Universal in Skokie, IL is seeking a Security Officer - FLEX to provide reliable, customer-focused security at a designated site. This part-time enhanced role offers fixed shifts with optional pick‑up shifts through our scheduling platform to increase earnings.

Hourly pay is $17.00 and the schedule is DayTime Sun 11:00 AM - 11:00 PM. Candidates must meet minimum requirements and be ready for a background check and drug screen.

Qualifications

• Minimum age 18+ for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• A valid driver’s license is required.
• Background investigation and drug screen required.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, shoppers, and store personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel and/or emergency services as directed.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout retail sales areas, entrances, parking areas, receiving locations, and the surrounding perimeter.
• Monitor for suspicious activity, policy violations, and potential hazards, helping to deter theft, trespassing, and unauthorized access.
• Document patrols, incidents, and observations in accordance with site procedures and Allied Universal reporting requirements.

As a Security Officer - FLEX in Skokie, IL, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $17.00 / Hour

Job Schedule: DayTimeSun11:00 AM - 11:00 PM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• A Guard Card or license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
