Job summary

Allied Universal in North Liberty, IN seeks a Part-Time Unarmed Security Officer to provide customer service and maintain a visible security presence at an industrial site. You will monitor access, patrol production areas, and enforce site policies while delivering professional service.

You will join a responsive team, complete required reports, and participate in emergency response when needed. Minimum requirements include HS diploma, 18+ for unarmed roles, background check and drug screen;

Qualifications

• Customer service experience is preferred for engaging with clients.
• Experience with access control and badge systems is preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Background check required by law, plus drug screening as allowed by law.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service and carry out security-related procedures and site policies.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of production areas, warehouses, and perimeters to deter incidents.
• Monitor access points and verify credentials per site policies; report unauthorized entry attempts.
• Respond calmly to incidents and alarms; coordinate with site contacts and responders as needed.
• Document patrols and incidents in required reports following Allied Universal procedures.

As an Unarmed Security Officer at a manufacturing and industrial location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support access control and badge processes. You will provide outstanding customer service and clear communication while contributing to a caring, reliable team that acts with integrity and delivers through teamwork.

Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $16.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Sat 08:00 AM - 04:00 PM
• Sun 08:00 AM - 04:00 PM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities in a manufacturing and industrial location.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of production areas, warehouses, loading docks, parking areas, and the facility perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as directed by site policies, and report unauthorized entry attempts or access concerns.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; communicate observations to site contacts and emergency responders as needed.
• Document patrols, incidents, and security-related observations in required reports and logs, following Allied Universal and site-specific procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
