Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Part Time Unarmed Security Officer in North Liberty, IN. You will patrol and monitor access points, provide courteous service, and support badge and visitor procedures at a manufacturing/industrial site.

This role offers flexible weekend-evening shifts (Sat & Sun 4:00 PM–12:00 AM) with a pay rate of $16.00 per hour, and the chance to grow within a leading security services company, renowned for teamwork, integrity, and community impact.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background investigation required by law.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, vendors, and/or drivers by carrying out security-related procedures and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of manufacturing areas, production spaces, warehouses, loading docks, parking areas, and the facility perimeter to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and visitor, contractor, and delivery activity according to site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner and communicate with site contacts and responders.
• Complete required activity reports, incident documentation, and patrol logs with a professional presence.

Job Schedule:

• Sat 04:00 PM - 12:00 AM
• Sun 04:00 PM - 12:00 AM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, vendors, and/or drivers by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of manufacturing areas, production spaces, warehouses, loading docks, parking areas, and the facility perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points and visitor, contractor, and delivery activity in accordance with site procedures, directing individuals to appropriate locations as needed.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with site contacts and emergency responders as appropriate.
• Complete required activity reports, incident documentation, and patrol logs while maintaining a professional presence in a manufacturing and industrial environment.

Minimum Requirements:

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
