Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Licensed Patrol in New York, NY, to protect government locations, deter incidents, and maintain a professional, welcoming environment. You will patrol, monitor access, and deliver clear communication with clients and the public.

The role requires a valid NYS Security Guard License, at least 1 year of security experience, and a strong focus on customer service. Full-time schedule with day shifts and competitive hourly pay is provided.

Qualifications

• Possess a valid New York State Security Guard License.
• Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and members of the public while carrying out site-specific procedures and emergency response activities at a government office location.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of interior areas, entrances, public-facing service areas, and the surrounding perimeter to help identify and report unusual activity or conditions.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with site policies, directing individuals to appropriate public service areas as needed.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel and documenting observations.
• Prepare clear, accurate activity reports and incident documentation in accordance with Allied Universal and client site requirements.

What You'll Do:
