Job summary

Allied Universal in Council Bluffs, IA, seeks a Security Officer Field Patrol to monitor and safeguard client sites, perform routine unarmed patrols, and provide exceptional customer service. You will verify access, document incidents, and respond calmly to emergencies.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, background check, and a valid driver’s license for driving positions. CPR is preferred, with opportunities for training and career growth.

Qualifications

• CPR certification is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A state, county, or city-issued security-related license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, contractors, visitors, and/or employees by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of construction and industrial work areas, access points, parking areas, equipment storage locations, and the perimeter to help identify and report unusual conditions.
• Monitor access to the location, verify visitor and contractor authorization in accordance with site procedures, and maintain accurate activity logs and incident documentation.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate site contacts and/or emergency personnel as directed.
• Assist with maintaining an orderly work environment by reporting hazards, unauthorized activity, damaged property, and other security-related concerns to designated personnel.

What You’ll Do:
