Qualifications

• Minimum: high school diploma or equivalent.
• Guard Card/License preferred.

• Background check required by law and policy.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and delivery personnel at a distribution site.
• Screen employees, visitors, contractors, packages and personal items per protocol.
• Operate screening equipment and report security concerns to site contacts.
• Respond calmly to incidents following established procedures.
• Conduct regular patrols to deter unauthorized activity and identify risks.

As a Security Officer - Facility Access Control in PHOENIX, AZ, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $20.84 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Mon 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and/or delivery personnel by carrying out site‑specific screening procedures, policies, and emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
• Screen employees, visitors, contractors, packages, and/or personal items in accordance with established access‑control and screening protocols.
• Operate screening equipment and conduct inspections as required, escalating prohibited items, suspicious activity, or policy violations to appropriate site contacts.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, following established reporting and emergency procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas, access points, loading areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security‑related concerns.

Minimum Requirements:

• X-Ray screening experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Guard Card/License is preferred.
• Access Control/Badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
