Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Part-Time Security Officer - External Monitor in Mesa, AZ. You will provide customer service, deter incidents through visible presence, and perform routine patrols at a technology-focused location.

This role offers flexible scheduling via our Claim a Shift platform, opportunities to advance, and a driver license requirement for certain posts; CPR is preferred, and a background check and drug screen are required.

Qualifications

• At least one year of security-related experience is required.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel at a technology-focused location by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and document activities according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of the facility, parking areas, perimeter, and exterior grounds to help identify unusual activity, unauthorized access, and potential hazards.
• Monitor access points and observe entry and exit activity, assisting with visitor, contractor, and vendor procedures in accordance with site requirements.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports of incidents, patrols, observations, and security-related activities using required reporting systems.
