Job summary

Allied Universal in Charlotte, NC seeks a Security Officer for full-time, unarmed patrol and incident response at a financial institution. You will provide customer service to clients, visitors, and employees, conduct regular patrols, monitor access points, and respond to alarms with calm professionalism.

You will maintain a visible, professional presence, deter security incidents, and follow site procedures while representing Allied Universal’s values and ensuring a welcoming environment.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of combined law enforcement, military, and/or security-related experience, or a college degree.
• Must be at least 18 for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check required by federal, state and local laws.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements vary by state/locality.
• A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

• Conduct regular and random patrols of banking areas, entrances, parking areas, ATM locations, and perimeter.
• Monitor access points and observe activity in accordance with procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations, documenting observations through required channels.
• Maintain a professional presence to deter unauthorized access and policy violations.

Pay Rate: $24.50 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Mon: 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM
• Tue: 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM
• Wed: 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM
• Thur: 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM
• Sun: 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and employees at a financial institution by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of banking areas, entrances, parking areas, ATM locations, and the surrounding perimeter to help identify and report unusual activity or security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and observe visitor, employee, and contractor activity in accordance with site-specific procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting and reporting observations through required channels.
• Maintain a professional presence while helping to deter unauthorized access, suspicious activity, and policy violations at the location.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess 3+ years of combined law enforcement, military, and/or security-related experience, or a college degree.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
