Job summary

Allied Universal for Peoria, IL is seeking a Security Officer Medical Readiness Patrol to monitor and protect a manufacturing and industrial site. You will perform unarmed patrols, control access, and respond to emergencies while delivering strong customer service.

The role requires EMT certification and firefighting experience, plus basic computer use, with a commitment to safety and compliance. This is a full-time position with day and night shifts and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• EMT certification required.
• Firefighting experience preferred.

• Minimum age 18 for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Background check required by law.
• Drug screen required.
• Licensing requirements may apply by state/local laws.
• A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and/or delivery personnel at a manufacturing and industrial location by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of production areas, offices, parking areas, access points, and facility perimeter to deter unauthorized activity and identify security concerns.
• Monitor access to the location, verify visitor and contractor credentials as directed by site procedures, and report unauthorized entry attempts or unusual activity.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established escalation and reporting procedures.
• Document patrols, incidents, observations, and security-related concerns in daily activity reports, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.

What You’ll Do

Minimum Requirements

• Possess EMT certification.
• Have previous firefighting experience.
• Be comfortable using a computer or tablet preferred.
• Have customer service experience preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
