Job summary

Allied Universal, North America’s leading security and facility services company, invites applications for a Part Time Security Officer Experienced Unarmed Inspection Patrol in Peoria, IL. You will monitor, patrol, and deter incidents at a manufacturing and industrial location while delivering professional customer service and clear communication.

Responsibilities include responding to incidents, monitoring access, and maintaining records.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• CPR/First Aid certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities at a manufacturing and industrial location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, access-control concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and escalation procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of production areas, warehouses, parking areas, offices, shipping and receiving locations, and the facility perimeter; working environments and conditions may vary by site.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify authorized access, and maintain visitor, contractor, and vehicle activity records in accordance with site requirements.
• Observe and report unusual conditions, facility hazards, damaged property, and policy violations to appropriate site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.

What You'll Do:

Minimum Requirements:

• At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
• Customer service experience is preferred.

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
