Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Entry Screening in Parkersburg, WV for a part-time role. You will manage entry points, screen visitors and deliveries, and support a welcoming environment at a logistics and distribution site.

Pay rate is $17.16 per hour with the following schedule: DayTime Wed 04:00 PM - 12:00 AM, Sat 12:00 AM - 08:00 AM, Sun 12:00 AM - 08:00 AM. We value customer service and vigilance while maintaining safety and security protocols.

Qualifications

• X-Ray screening experience preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet.
• Customer service experience preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen.
• Licensing requirements may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to drivers, visitors, vendors, and/or employees by carrying out site-specific access-control procedures, policies, and emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
• Monitor and control access points, verify credentials and delivery appointments, maintain visitor and driver logs, and direct authorized personnel to appropriate areas.
• Respond to access-control concerns, incidents, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; promptly report unusual activity and follow established escalation procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas, access points, parking areas, and the facility perimeter to help deter unauthorized entry and identify security-related concerns.
• Document daily activities, incidents, and access-related observations accurately in accordance with site-specific policies and Allied Universal procedures.
