Allied Universal, a leading security firm in Point Comfort, TX, is seeking a Part-Time Security Officer to monitor access, verify credentials, and maintain secure entry points at government port facilities. This role emphasizes professional customer service and calm incident response.

The position requires two years in security, a TSA TWIC, and a high school diploma, with background checks and drug screening as part of employment. Shifts include Wed 12:00 PM–10:00 PM and Sun 6:00 AM–6:00 PM.

Qualifications

• Two years of security-related experience required.
• A TSA-issued TWIC is required.
• Guard Card or license preferred.
• Customer service experience preferred.
• Be at least 18 (unarmed) or 21+ (armed).
• Background check and drug screen required.
• Driver's license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, tenants, vendors, and port personnel by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-control policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Monitor and control access to government port facilities by verifying identification, credentials, visitor authorization, and delivery documentation in accordance with site procedures.
• Maintain accurate visitor, vehicle, contractor, and access-related logs; issue and collect authorized access credentials as directed.
• Respond to access concerns, incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate site contacts and public agencies when required.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned entry points, facilities, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized access and report security-related concerns.

Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $15.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Wed 12:00 PM - 10:00 PM

What You'll Do:

Minimum Requirements:

• At least two years of security-related experience are required.
• A TSA-issued TWIC is required.
• A Guard Card or license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
