Job Description

As a Security Officer Full Time Entry Management in Corpus Christi, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a chemical/petrochemical location, you will help manage site entry, verify credentials, monitor access points, and maintain a professional, visible presence to help deter incidents. You will provide outstanding customer service while communicating clearly with employees, visitors, and site personnel. What You’ll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, access-control protocols, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Verify and document authorized personnel, visitors, contractors, and deliveries entering and exiting the chemical and petrochemical location in accordance with site requirements.
• Monitor access points, credentials, alarms, and visitor-management systems; report irregularities and unauthorized-access attempts to appropriate site contacts.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established site procedures and escalation protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, operational areas, and the perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity; working environments and conditions may vary by client site.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess a Transportation Worker Identification Credential issued by the Transportation Security Administration.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• A state, county, or city-issued security-related license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
