Job summary

Allied Universal, Ingleside, TX, is seeking a Security Officer Access Control to safeguard client locations in Chemical/Petrochemical environments. You will monitor entry points, verify access, and maintain a visible security presence while delivering excellent customer service.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of security-related experience.
• TWIC TSA-issued is preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check and drug screen required.
• Valid driver’s license for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, employees, contractors, and visitors by enforcing site-specific access-control procedures and safety protocols.
• Verify authorized entry credentials and process visitors and contractors while maintaining access logs.
• Monitor entry/exit points, vehicle traffic, and restricted areas per location requirements.
• Respond to incidents and alarms with calm, problem-solving approach following post orders.
• Conduct regular patrols of assigned access points and perimeter to identify security concerns.

Job Description

As a Security Officer Access Control in Ingleside, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a chemical/petrochemical location, you will monitor entry points, verify authorized access, and maintain a visible presence that helps deter security-related incidents. You will use computer or tablet systems to document activity, communicate professionally with employees and visitors, and deliver exceptional customer service. What You’ll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, employees, contractors, and visitors by carrying out site-specific access-control procedures, policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Verify authorized entry credentials, process visitors and contractors, maintain access logs, and communicate access concerns to appropriate site personnel.
• Monitor entry and exit points, vehicle traffic, and restricted areas in accordance with chemical and petrochemical location requirements.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established post orders and escalation procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned access points, business areas, and the perimeter to identify and report security-related concerns.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Possess a TSA-issued TWIC.
• Be comfortable using a computer or tablet, preferred.
• Have customer service experience, preferred.
• Possess a state, county, or city-issued security-related license, preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
