Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel while conducting access-control procedures and following site policies.
• Monitor entry/exit points, verify credentials and visitor authorization, and maintain access logs.
• Respond to access-related incidents and alarms in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular patrols of industrial facilities and perimeter locations to deter unauthorized access.
• Support the flow of personnel and vehicles at the manufacturing location following procedures.

As an Access Control Security Officer at a manufacturing and industrial location, you will help manage entry points, verify credentials, monitor access activity, and support a welcoming environment for employees and visitors. You will use technology to document security-related information, communicate professionally, and help deter unauthorized access. Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $18.76 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Sat 08:00 AM - 04:00 PM
• Sun 08:00 AM - 04:00 PM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel while carrying out access-control procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and visitor authorization, issue temporary access materials, and maintain accurate access logs in accordance with site requirements.
• Respond to access-related incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns through established communication channels.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of industrial facilities, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized access and identify security-related concerns.
• Support the flow of authorized personnel and vehicles at a manufacturing location while following procedures for contractors, deliveries, and restricted areas.

Minimum Requirements:

• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
