Allied Universal is seeking a Part Time Access Operations Security Officer in Richmond, VA. You will manage entry points, verify credentials, monitor activity, and support a welcoming environment for employees and visitors.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Background investigation and drug screen are required.
• Be at least 18 for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and/or delivery personnel while carrying out site-specific access control procedures, policies, and emergency response activities.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials and visitor authorization, manage visitor registration, and maintain accurate access-related records in accordance with site procedures.
• Respond to access-related incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns to appropriate site contacts and/or emergency personnel.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of entrances, exits, lobby areas, parking areas, and the perimeter to help identify unauthorized access or security-related concerns.
• Support a professional environment at a technology, media, and telecommunications location by communicating clearly with site personnel and following Allied Universal and client requirements.

What You'll Do:

Minimum Requirements:

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
