Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Part Time Badge Administration in North Chesterfield, VA. • Access control and badge experience preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet.
• CPR and First Aid certification preferred.
• Customer service experience preferred.
• Be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Background check and drug screen required by law.
• Licensing requirements may be required prior to employment.
• Valid driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel while following access-control procedures.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and visitor authorization, and maintain accurate access logs.
• Respond to access-related incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly and escalate as needed.
• Conduct regular patrols of industrial facilities and perimeter locations to deter unauthorized access.
• Support the flow of authorized personnel and vehicles at the site, managing contractors and deliveries.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel while carrying out access-control procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and visitor authorization, issue temporary access materials, and maintain accurate access logs in accordance with site requirements.
• Respond to access-related incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns through established communication channels.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of industrial facilities, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized access and identify security-related concerns.
• Support the flow of authorized personnel and vehicles at a manufacturing location while following procedures for contractors, deliveries, and restricted areas.

Minimum Requirements:

• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
