Job summary

Allied Universal, a leading security and facility services company, is seeking a Part Time Security Officer (Loss Prevention Patrol) in Richmond, VA. You will conduct patrols, deter incidents, monitor access, and deliver excellent tenant and staff service.

The role offers part-time hours with a competitive pay rate and opportunities to grow within a dynamic, community-focused team. No relocation; local availability preferred.

Qualifications

• Loss prevention experience is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Comfort with using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, contractors, and/or property personnel by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of commercial property buildings, common areas, parking facilities, access points, and perimeter areas to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, and/or maintenance concerns.
• Monitor access to assigned locations, verify visitor and contractor authorization in accordance with site procedures, and report unauthorized access attempts or policy violations.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and document actions taken according to site procedures.
• Prepare clear, accurate activity and incident reports and communicate relevant observations to Allied Universal leadership and site representatives.

You will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, monitor assigned areas, and provide outstanding customer service and communication to tenants, visitors, and staff. What You'll Do

Minimum Requirements

• Loss prevention experience is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Comfort with using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification are preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
