Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Part Time Patrol Badge Validation in Richmond, VA. You will provide unarmed patrols, monitor access, assist residents and staff, and maintain a visible security presence.

Pay Rate: $13.50 / Hour

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to residents, visitors, staff, and government facility personnel while carrying out site-specific procedures, policies, and emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of facility buildings, common areas, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with facility procedures, assisting with directions and reporting unusual or unauthorized access.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols and contacting appropriate personnel and/or emergency responders as needed.
• Document patrols, incidents, and security-related observations accurately and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal supervision and site contacts.

Minimum Requirements:

• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A state, county, or city-issued security-related license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
