Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Patrol Customer Assistance in Richmond, VA. You will protect patients, staff, and visitors by patrolling healthcare facilities and monitoring access points with a visible, welcoming presence.

You will respond to alarms and emergencies, maintain clear communication, and document activities for site leadership, supporting Allied Universal’s people-first culture.

Qualifications

• Minimum requirements include customer service experience and the ability to operate a computer or tablet.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification are preferred.
• Applicants must be at least 18 (unarmed) or 21+ (armed) and pass background checks and drug screening.
• Licensing requirements may apply depending on state/local laws.

Job Description

As a Security Officer Patrol Customer Assistance in Richmond, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a healthcare setting, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, respond to alarms, and support a welcoming environment for patients, visitors, and staff. You will provide exceptional customer service and clear communication while contributing to Allied Universal’s agile, reliable, innovative, and people-first culture through teamwork and integrity.

Pay Rate: $18.40 / Hour

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and vendors at a healthcare-related facility by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of interior areas, exterior grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points, verify visitor and contractor authorization in accordance with site procedures, and report irregularities to appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, medical-related emergencies, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established response protocols.
• Document patrols, incidents, observations, and shift activities accurately and communicate relevant information to site leadership and/or Allied Universal supervision.

Minimum Requirements:

• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfortable use of a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
