Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Unarmed Exterior Patrol in Richmond, VA to protect clients across government and other facilities. You will perform routine patrols, deter incidents, and provide courteous service to employees and visitors while maintaining a visible presence.

This full-time role offers on-site work, comprehensive training, and opportunities to grow within a nationwide security organization.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and members of the public at a government transportation location by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-control practices, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, parking areas, perimeter locations, and transportation-related facilities to help identify and report unusual conditions or unauthorized activity.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify visitor authorization as directed, maintain visitor records, and communicate access concerns to appropriate site contacts.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; document observations and notify emergency services and/or site management according to established procedures.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports of daily activities, incidents, and maintenance or facility concerns, and communicate relevant information during shift handoffs.

Pay Rate: $14.00 / Hour

• Mon: 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM
• Tue: 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM
• Wed: 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM
• Thur: 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM
• Fri: 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM

What You'll Do:

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
