Allied Universal in Lakeland, FL is seeking a Part-Time Security Officer Authorization Verification to join our team. You will be the visible presence at entry points, verify access, assist visitors, and support operations with professional communication.

This role offers Saturday and Sunday shifts from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM at a manufacturing and industrial site. The pay rate is $15.00 per hour, and you will gain experience with access-control procedures, incident response, and reliable teamwork

Qualifications

• Requires at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Guard card or license preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years old (21+ for armed roles).
• Background check and drug screening required.
• Licensing may be required per state laws.

Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $15.00 / Hour

Job Schedule: Sat 08:00 AM - 04:00 PM, Sun 08:00 AM - 04:00 PM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and vendors by carrying out site-specific access-control procedures, policies, and emergency response activities at a manufacturing and industrial location.
• Monitor and control entry and exit points, verify credentials, issue visitor passes, and maintain accurate access logs in accordance with site requirements.
• Screen incoming visitors, contractors, deliveries, and vehicles as required, and direct them to appropriate locations while following established procedures.
• Respond to access-control alarms, incidents, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; document observations and notify appropriate site contacts.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, production-area perimeters, parking areas, and exterior grounds to identify and report security-related concerns.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
