Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Part-Time Security Officer in Provo, Utah, to help manage entry points, verify access, and monitor activity at a manufacturing and industrial location. You will represent our team with professionalism while delivering reliable customer service to employees, visitors, and vendors.

A valid driver’s license is required for this driving post; CPR/First Aid and a guard card are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel by carrying out security-related procedures and site policies.
• Control access to the facility by verifying identification, registrations, and authorization for personnel, vehicles, and deliveries entering restricted areas.
• Monitor access points, gates, and security-related systems and maintain accurate visitor/contractor/vehicle/incident documentation.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations calmly and follow site procedures while notifying appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular patrols of access points, production-adjacent areas, parking areas, and the perimeter.

As an Access Control Officer at a manufacturing and industrial location, you will help manage entry points, verify authorized access, monitor activity, and communicate professionally with employees, visitors, and vendors. This driving post requires a valid driver’s license. You will represent Allied Universal’s agile, reliable, innovative, and caring culture through teamwork, integrity, and outstanding customer service while helping to deter security-related incidents.

Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $20.20 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Sat: 07:00 AM - 07:00 PM
• Sun: 07:00 AM - 07:00 PM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities at a manufacturing and industrial location.
• Control access to the facility by verifying identification, credentials, visitor registrations, and authorization for personnel, vehicles, and deliveries entering restricted areas.
• Monitor access points, gates, and security-related systems; maintain accurate visitor, contractor, vehicle, and incident documentation.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established site procedures and notifying appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, production-adjacent areas, parking areas, and the perimeter to help identify and report unusual conditions.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• CPR/First Aid certification is preferred.
• A guard card/license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
