Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, patients, and staff by carrying out site-specific access control procedures and policies.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and authorization, manage visitor access, and maintain accurate access-related records.
• Respond to incidents and access concerns calmly, following escalation and reporting procedures.
• Conduct regular patrols of assigned areas, entrances, and facility perimeter to identify unauthorized access and report unusual activity.
• Communicate professionally with healthcare personnel, visitors, and Allied Universal leadership regarding access-related incidents and operational needs.

As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Entry Control in North Smithfield, RI, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $20.72 / Hour

Job Schedule:

DayTimeSat11:00 PM - 07:00 AMSun11:00 PM - 07:00 AM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment ('Anchor Shifts'): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It's all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, patients, and staff by carrying out site-specific access control procedures, policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and authorization, manage visitor access, and maintain accurate access-related records in accordance with site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established escalation and reporting procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas, entrances, and the facility perimeter to help identify unauthorized access and report unusual activity.
• Communicate professionally with healthcare personnel, visitors, and Allied Universal leadership regarding access-related incidents, policy concerns, and operational needs.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
