How This Role Works

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim‑A‑Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and vendors by carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, and problem‑solving manner, escalating concerns to site leadership and/or emergency services when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter locations to help to deter unwanted activity and/or identify security‑related concerns.
• Monitor access points and sensitive areas, assist with visitor direction and screening processes, and report unusual activity, hazards, and/or policy violations according to site protocols.
• Document incidents, patrol observations, and daily activities in a clear and timely manner while supporting Allied Universal standards and the location's operational expectations.

Minimum Requirements

• Must meet hospital vaccine requirements.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
