Job summary

Allied Universal in Henderson, WV is seeking a Part-Time Security Officer (Unarmed Patrol) to protect clients across Tech/Media/Telecom locations and more. The role features a night shift and the ability to build a flexible schedule using our Claim a Shift platform.

As an unarmed officer, you will provide customer service, monitor access, conduct patrols, respond to incidents, and complete logs in line with site procedures.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check will be conducted in accordance with laws.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may be required by state/local laws.
• Valid driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors at a technology, media, and telecommunications location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns according to site-specific procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the facility, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter to deter unauthorized activity and identify security concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials when assigned, and report irregularities to site leadership.
• Complete accurate activity logs, incident reports, and shift documentation in accordance with site-specific requirements.

Pay Rate: $14.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Mon 11:30 PM - 07:30 AM
• Tue 11:30 PM - 07:30 AM
• Wed 11:30 PM - 07:30 AM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors at a technology, media, and telecommunications location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.

• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials when assigned, and report access-control irregularities to site leadership and/or Allied Universal supervision.
• Complete accurate activity logs, incident reports, and shift documentation in accordance with site-specific requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
