Allied Universal in New Albany, OH is seeking a Part-Time Security Officer (Unarmed) for facility patrol and driver duties at a technology data center. You will provide visible security, access control, and customer service while supporting shift handoffs.

Schedule includes Tue 6:00 AM–2:00 PM and Wed 2:00 PM–10:00 PM. Pay rate is $21.79 per hour. A valid driver's license and at least one year of security experience are required; HS diploma or equivalent preferred.

• A valid driver's license is required.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Background check and drug screen will be conducted.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, vendors, and contractors at a technology data center.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of data center buildings, access points, perimeter areas, and parking locations.
• Monitor access to restricted areas, verify credentials, and document visitor activity.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations with calm professionalism and clear communication.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports and maintain activity logs and shift handoff information.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, vendors, and contractors at a technology data center by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of data center buildings, access points, perimeter areas, parking locations, and other assigned areas to help identify and report unusual activity or conditions.
• Monitor access to restricted areas, verify credentials as directed, and document visitor, contractor, and delivery activity in accordance with site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; communicate observations and requests for assistance to appropriate personnel.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports and maintain required activity logs, incident documentation, and shift handoff information.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least one year of security-related experience is required.
• A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
