Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, contractors, visitors, and vendors by carrying out access-control procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and visitor authorizations, issue visitor badges, and maintain accurate access logs.
• Respond to access-control alarms, incidents, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns through established communication channels.
• Conduct regular patrols of assigned areas, entry points, parking areas, and perimeter to deter unauthorized access and identify security concerns.
• Maintain a professional presence while communicating with site personnel and documenting incidents and daily activities.

As a Security Officer - Access Control Coordinator in BOISE, ID, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. Pay Rate: $19.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Mon: 07:00 AM - 03:30 PM
• Thur: 07:00 AM - 03:30 PM
• Fri: 07:00 AM - 03:30 PM
• Sat: 07:00 AM - 03:30 PM
• Sun: 07:00 AM - 03:30 PM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, contractors, visitors, and vendors by carrying out access-control procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities at a technology, media, and telecommunications location.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and visitor authorizations, issue visitor badges, and maintain accurate access logs in accordance with site procedures.
• Respond to access-control alarms, incidents, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns through established communication channels.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas, entry points, parking areas, and the perimeter to help deter unauthorized access and identify security-related concerns.
• Maintain a professional presence while communicating clearly with site personnel and documenting incidents, observations, and daily activities.

Minimum Requirements:

• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• Possession of a state, county, or city-issued security license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
