Job summary

Allied Universal in Boca Raton is seeking a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time to provide access control, resident and visitor screening, and incident response at a designated site. You will work fixed anchor shifts with opportunities to pick up additional shifts through the Earn-A-Shift program, offering flexible hours and a pathway toward more hours and career growth.

Pay is $15.00 per hour, with part-time schedules including nights and weekends, highlighting a stable, customer-focused role

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 months of security-related experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Guard card is required.
• Access control or badge experience preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to residents, guests, and visitors by carrying out site-specific access control procedures and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Monitor access points and verify authorized entry for residents, guests, vendors, and service personnel per community procedures.
• Maintain accurate visitor, vendor, and delivery records and communicate access-related information to site personnel.
• Respond to incidents and access concerns in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of residential common areas, entrances, parking areas, and the perimeter.

Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Credential in Boca Raton, FL, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $15.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

DayTimeSat11:00 PM - 07:00 AM Sun11:00 PM - 07:00 AM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim‑A‑Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

• Provide customer service to residents, guests, and visitors by carrying out site‑specific access control procedures, policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Monitor access points and verify authorized entry for residents, guests, vendors, and service personnel in accordance with community procedures.
• Maintain accurate visitor, vendor, and delivery records and communicate access‑related information to appropriate site personnel.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of residential common areas, entrances, parking areas, and the perimeter; working environments and conditions may vary by location.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least 6 months of security‑related experience is required.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control or badge experience is preferred.
• A guard card is required.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
