Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and law enforcement personnel by carrying out site-specific screening procedures and emergency response when needed.
• Screen individuals and belongings using screening equipment; report prohibited items and access concerns.
• Verify identification, credentials, and authorization for entry to restricted areas.
• Respond to incidents calmly and document observations and notify appropriate personnel.
• Maintain accurate logs and reports related to screening activity and incidents.

As a Security Officer Enhanced Court in West Palm Beach, FL, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by pick-up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $19.85 / Hour

Job Schedule:

Tue 08:00 AM - 05:00 PM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It's all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and law enforcement personnel by carrying out site-specific screening procedures, policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Screen individuals and their belongings using assigned screening equipment and established procedures; report prohibited items, irregularities, and access concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Verify identification, credentials, and authorization for entry to restricted areas in accordance with facility requirements.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and notifying appropriate personnel.
• Maintain accurate logs and reports related to screening activity, visitor access, incidents, and unusual occurrences.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess at least three years of combined law enforcement, military, and/or 7 years security-related experience, or a college degree.
• Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A guard card is required.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
