Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Enhanced Patrol Observation in San Bernardino, CA to provide reliable, flexible part-time coverage at an assigned site. The role offers a fixed anchor shift with the option to pick up additional shifts through our scheduling platform.

Pay rate is $21.49 per hour. This role supports a base schedule with potential to build toward up to 40 hours per week, and may lead to full-time opportunities through continued development and training.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles.
• Background investigation required by law.
• Drug screen required, subject to applicable laws.
• Licensing requirements subject to state/local regulations.
• Valid driver’s license for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and the public at government facilities while following site procedures.
• Conduct regular unarmed patrols of buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter to identify hazards and maintenance concerns.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and disturbances in a calm, professional manner and notify appropriate personnel.
• Monitor access points and verify authorization, maintaining logs and incident documentation.
• Support a safe, orderly environment by communicating site rules and reporting concerns to Allied Universal.

As a Security Officer Enhanced Patrol Observation in San Bernardino, CA, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $21.49 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Mon: 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM
• Tue: 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim‑A‑Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and members of the public at government facilities by carrying out site‑specific procedures, access‑control practices, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of assigned buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter areas to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, and maintenance concerns.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem‑solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and emergency responders as directed by site procedures.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify authorization when required, and maintain accurate logs and incident documentation.
• Help maintain an orderly environment by providing directions, communicating site rules, and reporting security-related concerns to Allied Universal supervision and designated client representatives.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
