Job summary

Allied Universal in San Bernardino, CA, is seeking a part-time Security Officer Enhanced Patrol. This role offers fixed anchor shifts with the option to pick up extra shifts via our scheduling platform, enabling flexible earnings and hands-on security experience at a government human services site.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and/or members of the public at a government human services location while carrying out site-specific procedures and security-related policies.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of assigned buildings, public areas, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help identify unusual conditions and help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with site procedures, directing individuals to appropriate services or personnel as needed.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and emergency situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate site contacts and/or emergency responders as directed.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports and maintain required activity logs for patrols, incidents, observations, and security-related concerns.

Job Schedule:

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment ("Anchor Shifts"): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It's all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.
