Allied Universal in Vista, CA is hiring a Security Officer Enhanced Patrol Driver on a part-time basis at an assigned site. The role offers reliable, fixed shifts with opportunities to pick up extra shifts via our scheduling platform and grow toward a full-time schedule.

Pay is $20.00 per hour, with DayTime 07:00 PM to 03:00 AM shifts. Responsibilities include customer service to tenants, responding to incidents, patrolling property, monitoring access, and completing reports.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• A valid driver's license is required for driving positions.
• Background investigation will be conducted in accordance with laws.
• Drug screen may be required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may be required by state/local regulations.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and property staff by carrying out security-related procedures.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; document observations and notify appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of commercial property buildings, parking areas, common areas, and perimeter locations.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with site policies; provide directions and assistance to authorized occupants and guests.
• Complete required reports, daily activity logs, and incident documentation accurately and promptly.

As a Security Officer Enhanced Patrol Driver in Vista, CA, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

How This Role Works

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and property staff by carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner; document observations and notify appropriate personnel in accordance with site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of commercial property buildings, parking areas, common areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security‑related concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with site policies, providing directions and assistance to authorized occupants and guests.
• Complete required reports, daily activity logs, and incident documentation accurately and promptly.

Minimum Requirements

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A Security Professional Guard Card or license is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
