Job summary

Allied Universal is hiring a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Flexible Patrol Driver in Culver City, CA. This role provides reliable, flexible hours at an assigned site, with opportunities to pickup additional shifts and grow toward a full-time schedule.

Pay rate is $21.00 per hour. Responsibilities include serving employees, visitors, and vendors; conducting regular unarmed patrols; monitoring access points; responding to incidents; and maintaining incident reports.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid driver's license in the state of California.
• At least one year of security-related experience.
• Customer service experience preferred.
• CPR certification preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check and drug screen required.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and vendors at a technology-focused corporate location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of office spaces, common areas, parking areas, building perimeters, and other assigned locations to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and observe visitor, employee, and contractor activity in accordance with site procedures; report unusual conditions, policy violations, and maintenance concerns to the appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established escalation and documentation procedures.
• Complete accurate reports, patrol logs, and incident documentation, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and client representatives.

How This Role Works

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Minimum Requirements

• At least one year of security‑related experience is required.
• Customer service experience is preferred.

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
