Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service at the front desk of a commercial real estate location by following site-specific procedures, visitor management, and security policies.
• Greet, screen, and direct employees, tenants, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel while maintaining visitor records and access documentation.
• Monitor access points, reception-area activity, alarms, cameras, and communications systems, reporting unusual activity or security-related concerns according to site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, visitor concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, including contacting appropriate personnel and emergency responders when needed.
• Support a professional lobby environment by answering calls, providing general building information, issuing visitor credentials, and helping to deter unauthorized access.

As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Visitor Check In in San Diego, CA, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $20.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Sun – 11:00 PM - 07:30 AM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim‑A‑Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 6 months of security‑related experience.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Possession of a guard card or license is preferred.
• Experience with access control and badges is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
