Allied Universal in San Diego, CA is seeking a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Weekend Patrol. The role offers fixed weekend hours at an assigned site with the option to pick up extra shifts to boost earnings.

Pay rate is $18.25 per hour. Minimum requirements include a high school diploma; guards license preferred; 18+ (21+ for armed roles); background check and drug screen per law. Training provided.

Qualifications

• Possession of a guard card or license is preferred.
• Possession of a state, county, or city-issued security license is preferred.
• Loss prevention experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Background investigation will be conducted in accordance with laws.
• Allied Universal accepts qualified applicants with criminal histories as permitted by law.
• A drug screen may be required where permitted by law.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and drivers at a logistics and distribution location while carrying out site-specific security-related procedures and policies.
• Screen employees, visitors, packages, and/or vehicles in accordance with access-control procedures.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials, and document activity as required.
• Respond to incidents and alarms in a calm, problem-solving manner and coordinate with site contacts and responders.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of screening areas and perimeters to deter unauthorized activity.

As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Weekend Patrolin San Diego, CA, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $18.25 / Hour

Job Schedule:

DayTimeSun03:00 AM - 11:00 AM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and drivers at a logistics and distribution location while carrying out site‑specific security‑related procedures and policies.
• Screen employees, visitors, packages, and/or vehicles in accordance with established access‑control and screening procedures.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials, and document visitor, delivery, and incident activity as required.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner; communicate observations to appropriate site contacts and emergency responders.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of screening areas, loading zones, the facility perimeter, and other designated locations to help deter unauthorized activity.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possession of a guard card or license is preferred.
• Possession of a state, county, or city‑issued security license is preferred.
• Loss prevention experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required pre­_employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
