Responsibilities

• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, public areas, parking locations, and perimeter areas.
• Monitor access points and observe activity; report concerns and policy violations.
• Prepare clear, accurate incident reports and maintain activity logs.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and members of the public by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at government facilities.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel and/or emergency responders as directed.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of assigned buildings, public areas, parking locations, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points and observe visitor, employee, and contractor activity in accordance with site-specific procedures; report access concerns and/or policy violations to appropriate personnel.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports and maintain required activity logs for incidents, observations, patrols, and security-related concerns.

Minimum Requirements:

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• X-ray screening experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
