Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer – Enhanced Part Time Unarmed at San Francisco, CA. The role offers fixed shifts with an anchor six-month commitment and the option to pick up additional shifts to increase earnings.

Qualifications

• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• A Guard Card or license is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check and drug screen may be required per law.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and guests at a technology-focused location by carrying out security-related procedures and site policies.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations calmly and in line with site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of offices, common areas, and parking areas to identify concerns.
• Monitor access points and verify credentials, documenting observations as required.
• Support a professional workplace by communicating information to site contacts and leadership.

Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Unarmed Patrol Assistance in San Francisco, CA, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $40.95 / Hour

Job Schedule:

DayTimeFri10:30 AM - 07:00 PM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed‑Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim‑A‑Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and guests at a technology‑focused location by carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem‑solving manner, escalating matters according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of office areas, common spaces, parking areas, and the perimeter to help identify and report unusual activity, facility concerns, and policy violations.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as directed, and document security‑related observations and incidents in accordance with site requirements.
• Support a professional workplace environment by maintaining awareness of changing conditions and communicating relevant information to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.

Minimum Requirements:

• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• A Guard Card or license is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
